Oliphant Educational Fund
Who We Are:
The Oliphant Educational Fund is a non-profit, charitable IRS 501(c) (3) Fund formed in 2009 to support the education of students in the East Side by providing scholarship support to aspiring teachers. The Fund awarded its first scholarships in August, 2009 to five students enrolled in the Professional Development School partnership between Arizona State University West and the Oliphant Elementary School District.
The Oliphant Educational Fund supports a unique East Side partnership with the intent of encouraging young college students to become teachers, attend college in the East Side, acquire their field experiences in East Side schools and ultimately be hired by schools serving the East Side.
East Side business leaders, educators and community representatives, dedicated to the future educational needs of students, make up the Oliphant Educational Fund Board of Directors. The Fund is supporting, through the award of scholarships, a unique collaboration of Arizona State University (West) and the Oliphant Elementary School District. The ultimate winners are the children of the East Side.
